The Milgram experiment on obedience to authority figures was a series of social psychology experiments conducted by Yale University psychologist Stanley Milgram.
It seems to explain how it is possible that people rather easily seem to go against their own principle and values when getting ‘orders’ from a supposed ‘authority’.
The Neurenberg Code after the end of WW2 sought precisely to prevent this for future generations.
